I researched this mod for someone else. I'm playing BG1 classic with mods for the first time ever, someone else is and he's complaining about the character speed. So I researched around and linked him to this mod. I don't want to use this mod as I want to have the "BG1 classic first-time around" vibe, even though I've used a few other mods this one seems a bit too radical for me.
You wouldn't know about the sound pack let alone the portraits too but these should be a seperate mod, or at least heavily referenced. My Paladin now has the austere voice of justice Vhailor, voiced by Keith Davids with reverb. There are so, so many they should be a separate pack IMHO. Too few know of them. Anyone can make a custom portrait up from the Internet I have, using a tidy 3D crusader render but voice packs are quite something else.

The PLA has a set of programmable AND gate planes, which link to a set of programmable OR gate planes, which can then be conditionally complemented to produce an output.
This layout allows for many logic functions to be synthesized in the sum of products canonical forms. This device, the TMS, was programmed by altering the metal layer during the production of the IC. TI coined the term Programmable Logic Array for this device. The desired outputs for each combination of inputs could be programmed into a read-only memorywith the inputs being loaded onto the address bus and the outputs being read out as data. However, that would require a separate memory location for every possible combination of inputs, including combinations that are never supposed to occur, and also duplicating data for "don't care" conditions for example, logic like "if input A is 1, then, as far as output X is concerned, we don't care what input B is": in a ROM this would have to be written out twice, once for each possible value of B, and as more "don't care" inputs are added, the duplication grows exponentially ; therefore, a programmable logic array can often implement a piece of logic using fewer transistors than the equivalent in read-only memory.
This is particularly valuable when it is part of a processing chip where transistors are scarce for example, the original chip contained a PLA to direct various operations of the processor . One application of a PLA is to implement the control over a datapath. It defines various states in an instruction set, and produces the next state by conditional branching.

Instead of fighting everything you come across in Fort Joy, make sure you put together a full party, find basic equipment, finish some non-combat quests etc.
Then start picking some fights. And only fight stuff your level or below unless you have no choice, as with bosses. They give the impression you can wander around anywhere. DOS2 has been better about warning me about imminent combat situations and giving me options to back away from fights at the start than DOS1 was.
But the watchword is still be vigilant and paranoid at all times. You need to not think like a strategist, and think more like an exploiter. I keep walking away to come back later and then run into more stuff to walk away from and come back later….
I would say you need to think like a tactician.
Is IWD1/2 more "open" than BG2?
Which makes it a lot tougher. DOS1 you could just breeze though the battles because this gave you such a huge advantage. Not so much, anymore. Also, decent equipment for your party means everything in this game. Even at similar levels, if your armor is crap, you are going to have trouble winning battles. Spend some time in Fort Joy and get some decent stuff before you start doing a lot of combat. Make sure you check out Hilde the merchant in the ghetto section.
She sells good armor fairly cheaply. I may have the advantage in that I was in the early access, but the fights now seem to me actually slightly easy. My main character is a Knight with skills in Warfare 2 Polymorph 2, but only one skill learned and scoundrel 1, just so I could use adrenaline. Lohse is another wizard, with hydro and necro, so she heals things then hits things every so often. She makes it rain blood, then sucks the blood up to heal any character, and can curse enemies.
Beast is a battlemage. He hits things almost as hard as my main, and has lvl 4 aeromancy, so he gets to stun things every so often. Beast and my main have 14 initiative, so almost always move first. TRP for me has 3 points in it now, and the incarnates he summons are just so freaking handy, and every turn I drop down a new totem they all look different, depending on the element you put them down on!
Very cool. I also have a point in Geo to get some poison dart action, as ShivaX is undead so it burns whomever he is in melee with while also healing him, but also it detonates fire though kills my totems so I have to be smart about using it. Super handy. Of course, my answer is a big YES. Baldur's Gate multiplayer was underused but back innetwork connections were bad and multiplayer was not that popular. But, inI bet a lot of new players will love it several steam friends have asked me if the game has multiplayer and they are sad when I say no and still old players like myself will be happy to replay this with a real people party Right now is even easier to find 5 guys to play. I want to know what other players think about this and if we can make this possible.
Honestly, I like that it's just single player - tacking on multiplayer is always a massive sink of resources that I'd rather see spent on more single player content. Absolutely zero interest in multiplayer. I would much prefer they spend resources refining and enhancing the single player experience. If you could just add MP, why not? But designing with MP in mind almost invariably has a negative impact on the overall design of the game, as testifeid by developers over the years - e. Invariably, MP was very clunky and not worthwhile.
Just like in every other single player game with multiplayer component, I would ignore it to the point of forgetting it exists. A waste of resources IMO. I sympathise with those who want multiplayer, but since I don't have any gamer friends, it's not a feature I would ever use. As such, I would rather see Obsidian's efforts spent on single player features that I can actually benefit from.
I use blue text when I'm being sarcastic. Now add in a toolset I would rather not have multiplayer in the expansion - I would rather like to see the effort go into new features and content. PoE was built to be a single player game, trying to make it into a multiplayer game would most likely result in a half-baked multiplayer solution.
Trying to fit a DM system into PoE will be incredibly hard, if not practically impossible. There would be a need to create a standalone tools, which would be a major drain on OE's resources, that could otherwise have gone into the game.
